Love is natural: Special Education Teacher Compliment Kids Everyday

In 2015, a news about special education teacher in Florida, Chris Ulmer, was reported. He is an ordinary teacher like the others but he had put in a little bit more effort onto his class.

He had been teaching this class for the past 3 years and was trying to build up the students' self-esteem as he complimented each of them before he started the lesson. He told each of them about how much he appreciated them and what were their strengths.

Ulmer believed that as long as the students learned about their talents, they could perform better.

It did.

After a period of time, the students improved in social and communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal. Now the students even pick up the habit and started to compliment each other as well as showing appreciation towards the teacher.

Loving and treating someone who does well is a natural thing.
You need to treat with LOVE and PEACE even those who do not do well
and those who are not qualified.
Then it is a miracle.
(Pastor Joshua Jung)

Ulmer set a good example for his students and also for us. The greatest thing is that , he treats these special needs students with extra love and care. From the reaction of the students, we can see that love is truly a powerful tool that make miracle. Besides, it is natural.
